Hi Group :)
I have always loved Hot Apple Pie, and who knows, maybe I'll eat
some this weekend, but on Non S days, here's an easy and yummy
version of the decadent S version...You will get all the warmth and
tanginess of the apples, and alot less calories.

Just take some Natural Applesauce, chunky style is great, but
nonsweetened...put it in a microwave bowl, shake on some cinnamon,
and add a couple of teaspoons of brown or turbinado sugar, stir then
nuke it for about 1 minute on low power. You end up, basically,
with apple pie, minus crust...If you are dying for some crust like
substance, you may want to sprinkle some instant oatmeal over the
top before you nuke it (but I haven't tryed this so don't blame me
if it burns or something, lol)
I like the fact that it's not corn syrup sweetened, like most
applesauce...Corn syrup is just being delivered by the tanker these
days...It must just be cheaper than cane sugar,,,hmmmm? It
certainly doesn't taste especially good...But that's my
opinination :)

Now you could go and bake some apples too, but this is just a bit
faster, and as the weather gets cooler, brrrrrrr, it's nice to have
hot things to warm us up...For our Australian contingent or any
NoSser south of the equator, substitute "nuke it for about 1 minute"

with "stick this into a freezer for 2 hours" and you can eat the

popsicle version.
Yummy :)
I'm making some now!
Peace, Love, and Pectin
Debbie
