Deb, I really don't understand why people like my m.i.l. keep trying to follow a diet that obviously is not working for them! :( And like I said before, my m.i.l. has been going to this diet "center" for 6 years! I know she pays so much per week just to be a *member* plus they always rope her into buying their bars, shakes, snacks, etc. Which can only be bought in bulk BTW and cost a fortune. The plan she is on is ridiculous.....I don't see how can anyone can stay on it! She is only allowed 1 serving of carbs/day which is ridiculous. If she opts to eat something like potatoes or rice, she has to give up her one "bread" per day for the next few days. AWFUL! Lots of food combining and hardy any foods are really "legal" except for a small list and of course, this company's products. It's a total scam. They weigh her 3 (!!!) times per week and give her a big guilt-laden lecture every time she goes in. If she gains they restrict her diet even more. Why she still goes....I have no idea. Maybe she thinks that there is something wrong with *her* and that one of these days she will "get it right" and lose the weight. And since she has given them thousands of dollars over the years I am sure she doesn't want to drop her "investment". Crazy, huh? As for me....I have been doing No S on and off. Every once in awhile I would fall back into the diet mindset and count calories or try to cut out sweets...stuff like that. I am officially done with "dieting" of this kind, though. I am going to stick with No S. It's a total no-brainer! :) Jeanette |
