Subject: Intro -- starting No S

Hi. I've always admired the No S diet, but had other methods that
worked for me. Nevertheless I'm starting No S today.

I lost, at one point, about 65 lbs, over 2002-2003, by calorie
counting and exercise. I will defend that geeky accounting because in
our Modern Age many people don't know how exercise relates to food. A
lot of people seem to think 20 minutes of slow walking can burn off a
big meal.

But the romance of accounting is gone. ;) When I got to within 10 lbs
of ideal, I started slacking, and for various reasons, over the summer
and fall I've inched up to 30 lbs above ideal.

I particularly like the No S's primitivist, Tyler Durden approach.
People think instinct is the enemy, but that's not totally true. Your
body has a lot of mechanisms to make you want healthy food and
activity, if you give them half a chance.
