A little while ago Diane posted about "snipping" the parts of posts you are responding to to make the daily digests more readable. I've got another piece of group etiquette advice I'd like to add: please don't post 5 posts in an hour, etc. It's a little overwhelming. People feel smothered. I don't want to stifle anyone's enthusiasm, a lot of these machine gunned posts are wonderful and the group would be poorer without them, but if those who are tempted to do so could just reorganize them a little so it's maybe one big post instead of 8 little ones, people could deal with it better. Let's be snipping snipers, not machine gunners. If you absolutely must machine gun, the now little used nosdiet_chat yahoo group is a better forum. There's no moderation, so your posts will go through faster, members are there because they want lots of action, and you can real time chat via applet as well. Many smiley faces and no offense, Reinhard |
