I started doing this after reading an e-Book called the Hacker's Diet While not as elegant or as non-intrusive as the noSdiet, The Hacker's Diet has some really good tools for tracking your weight loss to help you figure out if that surprising number on your scale is part of a trend or just a fluke. Also, both the tools and the book are free. http://www.fourmilab.ch/hackdiet/comptools.html Alternately, if you find scales just too frustrating and discouraging or you get to obsessed about it, you could try why a friend of mine does. She goes out and purchases what she calles her "optimisim pants" and sets her goals based on fitting into the pants instead of numbers on a scale. --j |
