I didn't use it myself, just because I hadn't thought of it when I started, but it has an obvious appeal and it sounds like it's working for people. I'll stick a mention on the home page so newbies don't have to dig for it. Note that the concept works for other habits, too, like exercise (for sticklers, possibly using a different image than a slash, like an ink blot boot for walking). Yes, "everyday systems" shouldn't involve keeping track of things, but this is minimal and temporary. Slashing doesn't take much effort, and one you've got the habit down you stop. Reinhard |
