Welcome, Carrie. The trick with the holidays isn't the holidays themselves, it's the days after and in between the holidays. It's the leftovers. Thanksgivings, Christmas eve (Christmas is Saturday this year) and New years eve are just 3 days. Give yourself those 3 extra days and no more and you'll be fine. But brace yourself, it's harder than it sounds. I don't want to hear people bragging about how little they ate on Thanksgiving (etc.). That's counterproductive and a shame, frankly. Brag about how little you ate the day after, the week after. The holidays themselves are a necessary safety valve and a positive pleasure. It can and should be win/win. Looking forward to hearing more from you, Reinhard --- Carrie <algiz02@...> wrote: > > > > Hi All, just wanted to take a minute to introduce > myself. I joined > the group this weekend.
