Since perfection is not attainable (at least, not by anyone I know!), I am sure this motto is the one we all must adopt, or we never will make progress...! One that I liked when I heard it, was: "Perfection? Who needs it!" I think there may have been a little more, but I'd have to dig up the tape it was from :) It was the same guy who I always quote who said to "embrace your setbacks" and then just move on.... Hey Diane, I am by no means a perfectionist, but I do think that by doing some "micromanaging" style type of diet, one, like myself, might enjoy the false sense of control I have over my life from trying to do some very controlling type of diet...Not really seeing the forest for the trees and trying to impose control (maybe what you mean by perfection) over myself through manipulating a very unlivable diet of some kind.... It's all just self deception, there are no easy roads to true development of good life habits... It comes with perseverence only. And, of course, also, self love and positivity! Love, Deb PS. Did any of that make sense? :-) LOL! |
