I adore Marmite on toast too. It's good in sandwiches with thinly sliced
cucumber too.. it's me that makes a drink of it. It is a bit high in salt,
that's the only problem. It is made from yeast. My husband used to be a master
brewer and I remember the spent yeast being collected from the brewery
by
the marmite lorry.

on
toast! However, in our family we "like everything" (having been brought
up
by an adventurous mother). I haven't tried it as bouillon--didn't know
you
could do that. Strangely, we have had Marmite in Publix (in Florida) for
a
couple of years now, but I don't know who buys it besides me. =) But the
clerks are confused--it's always next to the baking yeast.

you
can find it locally, doesn't have MSG. It's sort of a high-quality soup
base, tastes very good, and apparently there are a couple of organic flavors
too.
