Subject: December Web Site Updates / 2003 Review / Response Backlog

I didn't change much on the site this month, just
minor tweaks -- wording, etc.

Traffic was down from our previous high in November, I
think because people were too absorbed with shopping
frenzy and "damn the torpedoes!" style gorging. But
group total membership still rose 15%. And I'm
optimistic that January will bring plenty of guilty
consciences and attendant traffic.

NoSDiet.com has only been around since April 2002, so
it's not really fair to compare total hits with 2003,
but average monthly hits are striking enough:

Date | Total | Average-Monthly
2002 | 249 | 28
2003 | 18146 | 1512

Note: these are strict 'ok' hits, as defined on:

http://www.nosdiet.com/lumberjack.html

Group membership has gone from just me in 2002 to 76
on Dec 31st 2003. If nosdiet were a stock, it would
have been good to own.

I was too busy enjoying the first S-day of 2004 to
attend to the flurry of posts around new years, but it
looks like everyone who posted got a response.
Welcome, Eleanor. There are a few more UK addresses in
the member list, but I guess they're shy or checking
infrequently.

This was the essiest time of the year in the western
world, so if you survived this without busting out of
your pants, the next 11 months should be a (proverbial
only, please) piece of cake.

Reinhard
