Hello,
I am beginning the nosdiet today in order to fulfil an agreement
with my wife. She will be gaining about 25 pounds for her
pregnancy, and I must lose 25 so that we can trade clothes and save
money. (We're thrifty that way.) I have gained a significant amount
of "sympathy weight"--although I'm not convinced that the "sympathy
weight" theory is true. My weight gain seems to be rooted in a more
primal (if not reptilian) instinct, rather than humane sympathy. Is
it possible that I have been eating excessively out of self-
preservation, out of the fear that another feeder in the house will
take my rations!? Or is it just gluttony? Either way, I am inspired
to help bring about a moderation revolution by eating moderately
from now on.
