That was cute...
If you want to saftey proof your axe... go and get some strips of 
foam rubber and a whole lot of duct tape, then tape the crap out of 
the sharp end of the axe... I don't think a sweater is really 
enough "protection" in this scenario...
PS.. Remind me to wear my protective gear if I ever come over to SG 
with you little lady! :)
PPS... You sound like you could certainly handle a 10 pound SG no 
matter how spagetti like your muscles are...
