Dan,
First of all, thank you for such a detailed answer to many of our
questions. The descriptions were very informative and went well
beyond the average standard answer. For inquisitive people like
myself, you seem to anticipate the inevitable follow-up questions,
like "yes, but why?" or "why do you say that?" or "yeah, but
what
about this guy or that person or this example?". So again I want to
express my appreciation for taking the time to answer so carefully
and I'm sure I speak for others.
On your discussions, just a couple more things:

Actually, I don't need any more proof myself, but I *would* like to
have these references so I can show some of my loved ones hard
evidence because I *know* they are going to demand it when I give
them such shocking and seemingly far-out claims. You know, those who
read all the magazines tend to believe they know what they're talking
about. The media loves a good story.....
On abs:
What I think you are telling me is that the "crunch" is no good, but
other floor stomach exercises can be good (is this correct?). What
leaves me confused is this: regarding the "good" floor isolation
exercises (bicycles, reverse crunch, etc.), can the shovelglove
replace these altogether? In other words, if I concetrate on only the
shovelglove routines, can I forget doing ALL of the lay-down ab
motions and *still* get dramatic results in my abs? Or would I still
need to supplement this with isolation training?
