I personally couldn't care less how fast I lose weight, or whether I
lose any at all; I just want to stop eating indiscriminately. What
attracted me to No-S was its claim of being a "framework to control
excess." If this is true, I've found my Holy Grail.
For people who eat for reasons besides hunger, there's always a
wildcard variable that makes you vulnerable to tossing restraint to
the wind at any time, for no discernible reason. But if that's going
to happen on any diet, and I believe it will, I'd still rather be on
No-S. The rules are clear and brief, and there's nothing expensive
to buy.
If I fail at this, I may as well check into therapy, though I haven't
seen anyone truly overcome indiscriminate eating through therapy.
I doubt it will come to that anyway; just the idea of being a No-S
Dieter (not to mention a closet Shovelglover) makes me smile, and
that beats therapy any day!
