I've been sick on and off with a variety of things for the last two or three weeks, from GI problems with antibiotics to a light case of the flu to a persistent cold. My rule was: "Break the rules when there's a good reason to do so. Getting better fast will make you healthier than losing weight while sick." My approach during that time was to not feel sorry for myself and eat because I'm sick (the "I don't want to worry about my eating when I'm worried about being sick" approach), but to instead prioritize getting healthy over all. For example, I couldn't eat dairy within an hour either side of a meal, but I wanted to eat yogurt regularly to combat the side-effects of the antibiotics, so it was fine for me to have a yogurt cup midafternoon and a while after dinner. -Rich -- Rich Lafferty --------------+----------------------------------------------- Ottawa, Ontario, Canada | Save the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus! http://www.lafferty.ca/ | http://zapatopi.net/treeoctopus.html rich@... -----------+----------------------------------------------- |
