Allan, I think that if your approach is working for you, then it's fine. Sometimes, I try to delay breakfast so I don't have that long to wait until lunch. For me, lunch is the hardest meal of the day. That's the one where I will tend to want to go beyond the "one plate"! You definitely are not violating the rules or spirit of NoS by following your plan.
