D..Actually I am pretty sure that it is a serontonin
deficit...Serontonin is the neurotransmitter responsible for feeling
content, and helps to relax us...Certain foods make this
neurotransmitter, typically people with Depression have very low
levels of serontonin, and have insomnia issues which stem from
this. Inncreased serontonin levels in the blood after a meal is
what gives us that groggy, drowsy feeling. I take St. Johns Wort
during the days to keep me "level" (relatively speaking LOL!)
But night is a horse of a different color
C... took me about a month to get over it. and like i said in my
previous post i did let myself have one small snack before bedtime
i am down to a cup of herbal tea and one ounce of cheese. its prob
like quitting smoking its just a habit.. but i was so afraid hunger
would keep me awake but so far i am doing fine as long as i eat a
substantial dinner and not leaning on food as my entertainment for
the evening...
D...So true, that entertainment thing is really slowly fading away
and *real* meals are taking on a whole new feeling.
Thanks for the help :)
