we have so many parties here at work, it is so easy to let go and join in o= n the eating ... can someone please give me some kind of insight as to how = i can avoid the temptation of eating/overeating. rose -----Original Message----- From: Tom [mailto:tomgunterman@...] Sent: Thursday, February 26, 2004 11:44 PM To: Subject: [nosdiet] Re: snacks Hello Max; You wrote: > I eat so early in the morning then I have class then Im hungry . .=20 . Do you think eating pretzels or animal crackers that are both low=20 in fat would be ok. My thoughts: No. I suggest eating a bigger breakfast, one that fills you. I think=20 I see a clue in your question whether animal crackers low in fat=20 would be ok. Don't avoid good fat. It will fill you and keep you=20 satiated for a long time. Avoid bad fat. Whatever people think, or=20 are annoyed by, the lowcarb hysteria, it did bring out the opposite=20 danger of extreme hicarb/low fat eating. I am guessing the nosdiet=20 high council :-) would suggest a good, balanced breakfast, and I am=20 adding to not skimp on the good fat. It will fight the returning=20 hunger longer than anything. I've read that some, including our=20 fearless leader m(_ _)m, eat oatmeal. That can fill you up, and,=20 besides other good properties, has a good glycemic value, which makes=20 it a better carb. If it doesn't fill you up, add some butter (good=20 fat). That oughta gag, I mean fill you for a week, or at least till=20 dinner. Pretzels and animal crackers are white processed flour with white=20 processed sugar - very bad. Good luck, Tom =20 =20 |
