Sorry it took me so long to give you an "official" welcome, but it seems like you got plenty of the unofficial kind. There were a bunch of interesting posts about fruits as snacks and quark-like substances. I'd just like to clarify that: 1) Technically, no snacks means no snacks, fruit or otherwise. I went through a phase where I was a little cavalier about fruit, but I'm quite strict about it now, and that's what I recommend. Strict doesn't necessarily mean putting the fruit on same physical plate (that's a little barbarous) but it means reducing your other portions so that it *could* fit on your plate. It's a great way to ensure that you eat more good stuff and less bad stuff. See: http://www.nosdiet.com/#healthy_snacks 2) While I actually do like quark and such stuff, most of what I eat is considerably more optimized towards palatability. While you are welcome to, you don't *have* to stick with arcane health foods on the nosdiet. I welcome suggestions, and found this thread quite interesting, but I just want to make sure people don't get frightened off. Not everyone likes their breakfast cheese redolent of quantum mechanics, and that's ok. Reinhard |
